As part of their current “Mozart” topic in music, the Neptune class, Mr. Inceel and Miss Manning went on a day trip to the Opera House on January 24. We travelled by S-Bahn to Marienplatz, and then walked through the beautiful, old city to the Opera House, where we spent two hours with our guide, Toby. First, we listened to a talk about how an opera is actually produced and spent some time trying on props, which was really fun! Then we went on a tour of the Opera House, which included going ...

On Tuesday 11th December, the Turquoise and the Obsidian learning groups went on a trip to learn more about water. The children had the opportunity to learn about the history of cleaning water and about water usage in the local area. The children even had the privilege of going to a ‘water caste’ were they observed how water is cleaned for people living in the Munich area and where the water is stored before it is distributed.

Jules Verne Campus invented a new subject called Curiosology. First you have to pick a topic that you are curious about and you want to learn more about it from a list. On the list you have to look where you will have your class and which teacher will stay with you. On the first Thursday you have to choose your title for your presentation. On the second Thursday you have to start thinking about your presentation that you will be working on the next 5 weeks. For your presentation you can make: a ...

Dear readers, we would like to tell you about CréAktiva, as we think that only our school has this subject. The projects that we do are filming class, Robotics, Plogging and Historical People, imparted by different teachers.
These are the following projects and their information:
In the filming project, led by Ms Manning, we will watch a movie (e.g. Edward Scissorshands) for about two lessons, and then make your own movie based on the topic. In the end, we watch all the movies in the Ler...

On the 17th of December, the 7th grade went on a field trip to see sights relevant to the White Rose, such as the Scholl residence, the White-Rose-Museum in the Ludwig Maximilians University and the memorial cube in the gardens. After having watched a movie detailing the resistance and interrogation of Sophie Scholl, Saturn went with Mr. Hill to see the places where it all really happened (Except the interrogation and execution because that building was torn down a long time ago.). We started by...

'Walk like an Egyptian’ – most of us can sing along to the song, but have you ever actually tried to walk like an Egyptian? At least like the ones depicted in paintings. Well let the Rubies tell you, it’s not that easy!
What also proved challenging was drawing like an Egyptian; the proportions of the figures had to be exact, the correct colours had to be used and the hieroglyphics had to face the right way. However, the Rubies rose to the challenge, proving that they can concentrate an...
