Hands-on! Wir gestalten unseren neuen Fitnessraum THE CORE!

Diamanten Kick-off

Mitte November fand unser Diamanten-Kick-Off statt.

Jules Verne Explorers on Adventure Island

Over the past few weeks, we have been very excited in the Kindergarten to see the Adventure Island being constructed. The children have been watching and waiting for adventure, hence the name! Our minis can now explore this environment for themselves with all of their senses. Having this dedicated space will provide opportunities for physical activity, freedom and movement, which all contribute to a healthy and active lifestyle and a sense of well-being.
The outdoor area for Kindergarteners o...

Trusting in Success: Testimonial from a Grammar School Student after the JVC Elementary School

Our daughter, Tonia Ostermann, attended the Jules Verne Elementary School between 2014 and 2018. During the experience of lockdown and homeschooling in particular, we fondly think back to the time at Jules Verne Campus with gratitude. Not only did our child come home from school every day happy and beaming for four years, but in the difficult phase after that, it became clear how valuable the Jules Verne approach is with the pedagogical emphasis on "learning to learn," "learning should be fun," ...

DIVERSITY IN MOTION

We have a new annual theme for 2020/2021: Diversity in Motion. When George Floyd was needlessly killed by police officers, and just recently, when in my home state of Wisconsin, Jacob Black was shot seven times in the back, followed by a further two deaths in a riot, it reconfirms that diversity feels right, right now. Diversity needs to move forward. This is in harmony with our values at Jules Verne Campus, in harmony with the uncertain times now. How can we help children—little ones in the K...

Successful trial lessons–even during the Corona crisis!

The Corona crisis has limited us in many ways this school year: on-site lessons under normal conditions, our internal preparation for the trial lessons, e.g. in the diamond holiday course, as well as other types of external tuition were not possible due to the contact limitations.
Therefore, we are extraordinarily proud of our Jules Verne learning partners in grade 4 who participated in the trial lessons in various external secondary schools with the aim to be accepted (4 of them for Realschu...

Online Inputs

From one day to the next, everyday life on Campus as we know it changed: In times of the Corona pandemic, how can we still learn through relationships, togetherness, movement, creativity while keeping the Bavarian curriculum in mind… at a distance... Not an easy task!
Step by step, we approached the virtual world, and circumvented technical challenges while not losing sight of data protection: In the meantime, all the learning partners at Jules Verne Campus are learning all day long accordi...

Wishing Stones at JVC during the Corona Crisis

One of our fourth graders recently came to us with a wonderful idea: Currently, with the exception of emergency care, no children are allowed on Jules Verne Campus. We miss the learning partners as much as they miss us! We've received countless messages about how much our JVC children want to get back to everyday life on Campus.
Therefore, even though no children are allowed to visit JVC themselves at the moment, we would like to bring a little "life" back into the learning house and take up ...
