Together We’re Extraordinary

In October, Jules Verne Campus celebrated an exciting new chapter together with Dukes Education. To officially launch our partnership, a series of live events welcomed representatives from Dukes Education, including Founder and Chairman Aatif Hassan, to our Campus. Flowers, decorations, a film showcasing the history of JVC from its beginnings to the present day, an introduction to Dukes Education, and opportunities for informal conversations created the perfect setting for this important milestone. The warmth, pride, and sense of community throughout the day made one thing clear: we are embarking on this journey together with optimism and confidence.

Our learning partner event focused on curiosity, conversation, and connection. Learning partners had the opportunity to ask Mr. Hassan questions and learn more about his vision for education and the future of JVC. One memorable moment was the presentation of an FC Bayern Munich jersey featuring his name and the number 25, recognizing JVC as the 25th school in the European Dukes family. Although a lifelong Chelsea supporter, he proudly posed for photos in the jersey, and a shared love of sport quickly sparked lively conversations and smiles all around.

The staff event was equally inspiring. In his address, Mr. Hassan spoke about the power of education, collaboration, and the opportunities that lie ahead. One particularly meaningful moment came when he added his contribution to the JVC collaborative wall mural inspired by our annual theme, “Seid's freindlich, Be Kind.” Dukes team members also received giant gingerbread hearts as a sweet welcome gift and a reflection of this year's theme.

Later that evening, more than 100 parents and guests joined us for a reception celebrating the beginning of our partnership with Dukes Education. A flying Bavarian buffet, traditional folk music, and even two Dukes representatives arriving in Bavarian Tracht added a special local touch to the occasion. Our own JVC music community delighted guests with a live performance, while Grammar School learning partners assisted with hospitality and welcomed visitors throughout the evening. Another highlight was the ceremonial unveiling of a beautiful Japanese maple tree that will bring shade, beauty, and growth to the Kindergarten play area for years to come. Along with the many conversations, gestures, and shared experiences of the day, it symbolized a strong and promising beginning. Because when people come together around a shared vision, one thing becomes possible: together we're extraordinary.
