Summer Festival 2026: A Playful End to a Great School Year!
>
Glitter tattoos, face painting, cake, can toss, a raffle, and iced slushies in the sun. At the end of every school year, our outdoor grounds transform into the setting for a summer festival for Elementary and Grammar School that delights more than just the JVC learning partners! While the colorful hustle and bustle was in full swing outside, there were also several attractions waiting inside the learning house. After all, the festival was the perfect opportunity to showcase some of the results of créAktiva project week and an eventful, educational school year as the learning partners opened their classrooms and showed us what they’d created on the annual theme “Stay Playful, Be Curious.” There were homemade games, creative writing pieces, and an exhibition of dream house designs to discover—these not only inspired reflection on one’s own lifestyle but also invited visitors to “chill out.”
Our summer festival also offered loads of culinary and creative highlights. Special moments were the incredibly bold musical performances by the Elementary and Grammar School learning partners. Wearing homemade sun crowns—no two of which were alike—the children sang “Here Comes the Sun” by the Beatles—a song with lyrics rewritten especially for JVC. Afterward, the Grammar School teens generated excitement with an open-mic day and rounded out the afternoon with a varied stage program. Everyone was beaming, and no one was overshadowed by anyone else.
All over Campus, people chatted, danced to the DJ’s tunes at the end of the event, and enjoyed their last moments together before summer break. Learning partners, learning guides, parents, and friends came together and, with great dedication and high spirits, made the celebration a resounding success.
A huge thank you to all the helping hands who supported us in planning and carrying out the event. Especially the buffet was, as always, amazing and showed just how much dedication and diversity there is in our school community. Many, many thanks to everyone who was there and joined us in bringing the school year to a close.
Now we’re off for summer break—but not without looking forward to the many celebrations and gatherings that the next school year has in store for us. Because one thing is certain: We celebrate our JVC community whenever we can!
